These messages are intended to alert users about important care-related events such as remote monitoring alerts, chronic care management reminders, appointment updates, and care coordination messages.
Consent Collection
- Consent is obtained verbally (or electronically, where applicable) prior to sending any SMS notifications.
- Each consent record includes the consumer’s name or ID, the date/time of agreement, the agent collecting the consent, and the consent status.
- Consumers must provide explicit agreement to receive text messages before enrollment.
Message Purpose & Frequency
- SMS notifications may include:
- Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) or Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) alerts
- Reminders and check-ins
- Appointment confirmations or scheduling updates
- Care coordination or follow-up messages
- Message frequency will vary depending on the individual’s care program and needs.
Opt-Out Policy
- Consumers may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message.
- Consumers may reply HELP for assistance or contact Unity Care AI directly.
- Opting out will immediately stop future SMS notifications, except where required by law.
Compliance & Privacy
- All SMS communications are compliant with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable HIPAA regulations.
- Unity Care AI protects consumer privacy by limiting SMS content to essential notifications only.
